Well folks I went to my appointment for the ultrasound update yesterday. Low and behold my doctor informs me that the scans came out CLEAR- no stones!! Now, I'm confused, I was so sure the pain I was feeling was absolutely and positively gall stones, I'm afraid to think of it being anything else. My doc told me that her next suspicion is that I am suffering from an infection of my stomache lining and/or a malfunctioning gall bladder. Lovely. So now I am back to the lab for more tests.
While I've been living off of oatmeal and canned fruit salad- which has been good for the weight loss (lost 2.2 lbs this week!!) but not so great for anything else. I would really like some popcorn and some meat. There was hope that the diagnosis of gall stones would give me a light at the end of the tunnel and I could eat oatmeal until I reached the light... but now I'm mad. Today I got a little cocky and tried eating some low fat chicken caccitore for breakfast... no pain. Then I had some turkey leftovers for lunch (NO gravy!!) again, no pain. I had a souvlaki pita for dinner and had a slight twinge of discomfort. It was all going great until I had a drink of Orange juice at Mama Lee's house... now I'm in PAIN. I've taken a HANDFUL of antacids and drank at least two litres of water and two advil... I still hurt. It's so frustrating to be taken down by a small glass of OJ. I was so looking forward to pushing the envelope tonight with a bag of popcorn... Dang it! Maybe tomorrow night.
Anyhoo... Paige is all ready for halloween, she picked out her costume tonight! She finally decided on a 'Winx' costume- to match the 'Winx' barbie type doll, named 'Bloom' that her grandparents just bought her. She's so dang excited it's contagious! She so lucky this year as halloween falls on a TUESDAY, which as you all know is garbage day but it is also DAYCARE day!!! She'll get to celebrate for 8 hours before trick or treating! I love it! The photo above is Paige the other day, wearing her costume from Two years ago- she insisted on posing like this for the photo... one of several poses... she's turning into such a HAM.
I haven't bought Nolan anything to wear but I really should... Even if he only poses for photos.
Speaking
of Nolan, my baby is no longer a baby. It's official, because there is
a NEWBORN in the hood!! Suzanne's still nameless child (whom I will
refer to as Randine bobby-jo, until otherwise instructed) is so cute
and soooo very tiny that Nolan now looks like the hulking behemouth of
a child that he really his. He has entered Toddlerdom, I guess. I think
I just made up a new word, Toddlerdom, write that down. But you guessed
it, he's still my little baby and I love him to bits. Even though he
doesn't have that 'new baby smell' like Randine bobby-jo, I think I'll
keep him.
Okay me and my heart attack-non gallstone- pain are going to try and hit the sack.
Hug your babies if you got one- hug someone elses if you don't!!

Hey Jen, been there with the whole gallbladder thing. Watch out for diet pop that was one of my thrigger foods. I also found it helpful to stretch when having an attach rather than going into the fetal position. I had mine removed last year. Missed three days of work. It was day surgery. Feel great now. Your gallbladder will subside and you will start eating again and it will get you again when you least expect it.

Yes Jen, I think you did invent a couple of new words there... Maybe you get creative when being worried about gallbladders but anyway I think the weight loss might have triggered a massive shift in body systems mechanics and mindset too,... meaning your gana feel better soon and all because of loss of bodyweight...
sounds crazy but I'm pullen for ya honey.
that Pagie is a ham alright and Halloween should be a blast for them all..
talk latter as I'm gonna turn in or hit the Hay now........
